To provide the Vestige experience, we collect limited information that is necessary for account access, app functionality, syncing, analytics, and subscription support.

• Account Information. When you sign in using supported authentication methods such as Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, we may receive your Firebase user ID, email address, and basic account identifiers required to authenticate and maintain your account.
• User-Generated Content. Reflections, journal entries, saved responses, ritual progress, and other content that you intentionally create within the App may be stored to support continuity across devices and sessions.
• Usage and Diagnostic Data. We may receive limited analytics, crash logs, device signals, and feature interaction data to improve app performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Subscription Status Data. Where relevant, we may receive information required to validate your access to subscription-based features made available through Apple’s in-app purchase systems.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information only where it supports the operation, security, improvement, and lawful administration of Vestige.

• To authenticate your identity and maintain secure access to your account.
• To store and sync your entries, ritual states, and app progress across devices.
• To provide subscription-gated features and verify entitlement status where applicable.
• To monitor technical stability, investigate service issues, and improve product performance.
• To respond to support enquiries, legal obligations, and account-related requests.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with trusted service providers strictly where needed to operate, secure, and support the App.

• Google Firebase Authentication and Firestore. Used for account authentication, cloud data storage, and related backend infrastructure.
• Apple App Store. Used for processing in-app purchases, subscription transactions, and entitlement-related subscription management.
• Analytics and diagnostics tools. We may use privacy-conscious tools to understand crashes, app stability, and high-level usage patterns.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide the App, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may request deletion of your data at any time.

Vestige provides an in-app Delete Account function within account settings. When you confirm deletion, our systems are designed to initiate a secure process to permanently remove your profile, authentication records, and user-generated content from active environments, subject to any limited retention required by law, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, or technical backup cycles.

5. Children’s Privacy

Vestige is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

6. International Data Transfers

Vestige may rely on cloud infrastructure or service providers that process information in jurisdictions outside Hong Kong or your place of residence. By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in such jurisdictions, subject to applicable safeguards and contractual protections where required.
